Kevlar Backpack
Kevlar Backpack is an Item that causes a projectile-absorbing backpack object to float behind the player's back, rotating with their view.
Strategy
Kevlar Backpack is a useful item that can allow the player to position themselves more defensively and reflexively block shots, as well as defend against wave attacks like those used by The Kraken, Chunks, and Diavola's second phase. In certain situations it can even negate an entire attack, such as Cyibl's spinning projectile attack, which can be completely removed while she pauses for a bit for the normal duration of the attack to play out. It can be difficult to position, especially since the player's attention is already split between movement and aiming by default, though it can be used effectively if the player is willing to momentarily sacrifice their DPS.
Trivia
- The Kevlar backpack will remain onscreen where it was last positioned during major cutscenes, such as Cordelia's regular ending.
