Christmas Gift is an Item that causes a present box to appear in the starting room of each floor containing an Item. The item appears on a floor even after it is first generated, so the player can still return to the starting room on the floor it is first obtained to receive the reward. This item does not stack with itself.
Strategy
Christmas Gift is a highly valuable item, as it increases the total volume of available items at no cost. Items appear on every Alt Floor, as well as any Special Floors, meaning the player can obtain 20+ items in a single run from this effect alone.
Despite acting as an Item Chest, Christmas Gift is not affected by Glory Box.
Synergies
- Gun Nut - The present box acts as an item chest, so all item rewards will be converted into Weapons instead. This is useful for weapon-focused playstyles or item builds that benefit from finding and destroying lots of weapons.
- Elevator Button - Each Special Floor also spawns an item, so maximizing the number of floors encountered in any given run massively boosts the use of this item.
Trivia
- Red and green as the colors of Christmas derives from hanging up the European holly as part of older pagan celebration of the Winter solstice (such the ancient Roman Saturnalia).
