Gun Nut is an Item that makes Item Chests give the player one random Weapon, functioning equivalently to Weapon Chests.

Strategy

This item is highly situational. It benefits item loadouts that buff or provide additional bonuses for weapons, but it can also negatively affect some runs if the player was seeking a high item quantity. Runs using Luis or the Holster item benefit from the item more.

Synergies

• Trade-In Receipt - The player has more weapons available to scrap, allowing them to receive more Money.
• Heart of Steel - The player has more weapons available to scrap, allowing them to receive more health upgrades.

Trivia

• Prior to the Heaven & Hell update, this item affected the extra chest created by Glory Box, turning its item into a weapon. The second chest now functions like a regular Item Chest.
