Sudden Death

Sudden Death is an Item that randomly causes anvils to fall from the ceiling onto enemies that the player has recently damaged. Each anvil deals a high amount of damage, but does not lead the movement of the enemy it targets.
Strategy
Sudden Death isn't particularly useful on regular enemies, especially on higher difficulties where their approach speed is maximized, but generally boosts the player's damage against bosses.
Synergies
- Garlic Necklace, Friends 'till the End, or Tasty Treat - Slower enemy approach speed makes the anvils more likely to hit their targets.
- Flashbangs or Taser - Completely stunned enemies cannot avoid anvils at all.
Trivia
- This item and its description reference the Super Smash Bros. series, which settles ties in various modes by pitting the top players together in sudden death. Players start this mode at critical damage and Bob-ombs begin to fall from the sky after a short time to encourage players to knock each other out before they are killed by pure chance.
