Jester's Cap is an Item that halves the player's maximum HP, rounded down, in exchange for increasing their damage by 50%.
Strategy
Similar to its counterpart Sugar?, Jester's Cap is a situational item. However, unlike the former, it is more versatile. Damage is always valuable, especially a multiplier, which makes its penalty less hindering in comparison. Using this on high damage weapons can be enough to completely destroy any room entered, making it worth the pick-up as long as the player has enough HP to sacrifice.
