Tax Forms is an Item that causes you to lose $1 every second while in combat, but gives a damage multiplier based on the amount of money held.
Strategy
Tax Forms should almost always be taken unless you have absolutely no way to generate money. The damage bonus is x1.01 for every $14 held, up to a maximum of x2.2 at $1680
Synergies
- Mr. Moneybags - The damage multipliers for Mr. Moneybags and Tax Forms apply cumulatively
- This means that at $700 the x1.2 bonus from Mr. Moneybags, and the x1.5 bonus from Tax Forms gives you a x1.8 total damage multiplier
- Au - Chance for golden enemies to spawn
- Big Heart - Beefy enemies drop more money on death
- Blood Money - Gives extra money every time you are hurt
- Bloodthirst - Allows you to generate a lot of money if you manage to stand near enemies
- Blood Vial and Double Slurp Cup can rapidly increase the amount of money generated
- Candy Bag - Enemies and pots drop more coins
- Leech Pact - While at 1HP this will help compensate for the money lost from Tax Forms
- Lydia's Tie - Boosts amount of money found
- Coupon - Makes purchasing from shops to be cheaper
- Point Card - Allows for the damage loss from purchasing 3 Items to be mitigated slightly
- BTGO - Gives the player a bonus Item chest to make purchasing 3 Items more worth it
- Witch-B-Gone - Allows you to still get items from each shop without having to spend any money
- Silver Pendant - Pots contain more money
- Trade-in Receipt - Scrapping weapons will grant more money for damage
- Blindfold - Enemies will drop more coins
- Gold Kernel - Enemies will drop twice the coins
- Kitchener Leslie's Lady - Increases chance for gold coins
- Magnifying Glass - Chance to gain money on entering a new room
- Paycheck - Every enemy and pot will drop a coin
- Hand Mirror - Increases chance for gold enemies to spawn
- Shiny Pocket Watch - Gold pots become more common
Interactions
- Tax Forms - This Item does not stack with itself, but will increase the maximum multiplier by an additional x0.2 for each Tax Forms held.
- This means that with 2 Tax Forms, you will need $1960 for maximum damage at x2.4, $2240 with 3 Tax Forms for x2.6%, and so on.
- The money drain from Tax Forms will not stack, so you will only lose $1/second, no matter how many Tax Forms you have
- Big Spender - When your weapon runs out of Ammo you will spend your money to shoot instead, which could decrease your damage output depending on the amount of money you have
- Beef Ramen, Chicken Ramen, Pork Ramen, and Shrimp Ramen - can all be kept active through the money draining effect of Tax Forms, although this is not recommended as the advantages from having large amounts of money and the damage increase from Tax Forms outweighs the benefits from the Ramen Items
- Chrysus Medallion - These items will both drain money from the player at the same time, giving you less time to heal
- Silver Soul - These items don't directly interact, but both incentivize players to collect and hoard money
- Tiny Wallet - Tiny Wallet will kill almost any bonus/synergies you had with Tax Forms, and should be avoided at all costs if you are building into Tax Forms
