Strategy

Boosting your stats is rarely ever a bad thing. However, considering that the stat being raised is random, its exact usefulness can vary. It's usually better to spend that money on stat boosts from a Clinic, early on at least. In the later game it provides a way to get a stat boost for much cheaper.
